MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) with Amre Klimchak - Orientation

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction: A life-changing 8-week course

“You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.” ― Jon Kabat-Zinn

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a structured program (including an orientation, eight class sessions and an all-day retreat) that helps you develop a range of practical mindfulness skills, which can help you to:

  • Become more resilient

  • Respond less to stress

  • Cultivate self-awareness

  • Practice self-compassion

MBSR was developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn, who is considered to be the father of mindfulness in America, at the University of Massachusetts more than 35 years ago.

MBSR has been shown to be helpful for:

  • stress

  • anxiety

  • depression

  • ADHD

  • chronic pain

  • fatigue

  • high blood pressure

  • sleep problems

  • eating disorders

  • everyday challenges

  • and more

This MBSR course will help you lay the foundation for a daily mindfulness practice through meditation practices and gentle yoga. Together, we’ll explore our responses to stress through group discussion to increase our awareness and ability to incorporate mindfulness into our daily lives.

No previous experience required.
