Pieces 2 Puzzles: GIVE IT UP! Direct Giving Event.

An invitation for white and white adjacent folks who want to be part of the solution in Black and Brown communities.

Do you want to be part of the solution to creating a more equitable society, but you are confused about where to begin? Have you seen social media posts talking about “Direct Giving” and “Reparations” and still wonder what they are and how you can contribute to them? Do you have questions and don’t know who to ask?

Come join us and our assembled expert panel of some of the most AMAZING Womxn in the Direct Giving space! They are donating their time and expertise to help educate and inform, and share their wealth of knowledge with you. The panel will focus on the actual mechanism of Direct Giving, and what Direct Giving in Black and Brown communities focuses on and looks like.

Direct Giving consists of food, housing, medical supplies, and education. Black organizers have created a space to help with these needs on a daily basis.

Poverty and barriers to support systems disproportionately impacts Black and Latinx, LGBT and gender non-conforming folks, those with disabilities and single parents. While a majority of the country believes in redistributing wealth through government policy, there is an urgent need to help out on the local level NOW, and there are ways for all of us to help out in marginalized communities.

A Learning Summit for those interested in becoming a part of Direct Giving. Panel discussion and Meet & Greet with the organizers.
