Gyrokinesis is a unique, multifaceted exercise that moves in circular and spiraling patterns. Similar to eastern mind/body systems such as Tai Chi and Kundalini yoga, energy pathways are stimulated through coordination of the breath. Class starts with a full range of spinal movements done sitting on a chair, then translated into floor or standing work. With consistent practice, dysfunctional muscular/skeletal patterns that cause restriction and pain are corrected.
