Ecotone Embodied: A Retreat in the Middle of the City

  • Grand Street Healing Project 105 Grand Street Brooklyn, NY, 11249 United States (map)

An ecotone is the ecological space between: between river and land, mountain and forest, wetland and meadow. An ecotone is a place of vibrancy, where two separate places meet, making a unique magic possible.

In this workshop, join celebrated somatic educator and author of the book Returning Home to Our Bodies, Abigail Rose Clarke, in exploring what these ecological spaces can teach us about navigating conflict and difference, and embracing change and challenges.

You'll learn somatic and movement practices that help you experience more sensation, move with more support and grace, and rest more completely in the fullness of your own body, even within all the grief and chaos we are collectively navigating.

The morning session will be movement based, the afternoon session will be meditative. Both sessions are open to all levels and all abilities.

In the evening, a free reading and booksigning of Returning Home to Our Bodies will be open to the public.
