Living Ayurveda: Unlocking the Wisdom of Wellness

  • Grand Street Healing Project 105 Grand Street Brooklyn, NY, 11249 United States (map)

We each encompass our own unique constitution along with our own unique imbalances. External factors such as seasons, climate, age, stress, diet, and more can impact our internal state of balance. Ayurveda is the oldest healing system in the world, originating from India and dating back over 5,000 years. It translates to "the science of life" (Ayur = life, Veda = science or knowledge). At its core, Ayurveda seeks to harmonize the body, mind, and spirit, emphasizing balance in all aspects of life to achieve optimal health.

After an intro meditation, we will dive into the teachings and practices of Ayurveda, explore the concept of the Ayurvedic Doshas, and spend time on Q&A. We will consider our individual mind-body type and how we may bring stability for optimal health and well-being.

We will discuss Ayurvedic diet & lifestyle, self-care practices, and how we can build these into our everyday living. This event is perfect for anyone interested in or curious about holistic health and natural healing. Hope to see you there!
